After installing my MC 2.5" Gamerchanger (RockSport) lift about a year ago, I finally had a formal alignment done. The printout is below. I have two questions I would appreciate some help with:
  1. I am planning to drop caster into a more normal range (6 or 6.5) by lengthening the upper control arms. I will do one at time but I am trying to think about how to line up the holes in the axel after lengthening each arm. When increasing caster, I know there are spots to use a jack to rotate the axel to line things up and get the bolts in. However, I will need to rotate the axel forward to drop caster. Any suggestions on the best way to rotate the axel forward?
  2. My front left side camber is obviously off (the rear seems off as well). The Jeep has about 15,000 miles on it and I am not aware of any big hits or anything else that could have bent something. Is there any chance that a bad ball joint could cause camber to be off in the front? In any event, I am thinking about using a camber correction sleeve to address the front for now.
In case it is helpful, here are my specs: 2019 JLUR, 3.6 auto, 37x12.5r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on 18x9 Fuel wheels with -12 offset (pic of jeep below). Outside of a dead spot in the steering (which was helped a bit by the steering TSB), the Jeep drives well and tracks straight (no pulling).

Appreciate any thoughts on correcting caster, camber, or anything else that seems off on the alignment.

Thanks in advance!

Ed

Try this, loosen both uppers, then do them one at a time. Chock the rear wheels and push the front side your working on forward as you kick a chock under it.

If that fails, ratchet strap.

I can’t remember if the adjustment end is welded at an angle, but make sure it ends up “angling” the right direction if it is.

Almost wondering if something is off with the alignment heads since both of your left cambers are off the same amount.

Thanks for the response. Good question about a possible problem with the alignment heads. I will most likely find another alignment shop after adjusting the caster.
