I just ordered the MORRflater 4 way tire inflater/deflator which looks awesome but I also need a new air compressor (my MV50 clone just won't cut it with 35's).

I am between 3 different options (all portable as I have no plan to go onboard)

1. Puma 3/4 HP 12V air compressor with tank: $260 3.5 CFM with 100% duty cycle
https://www.amazon.com/PD1006-Puma-Volt-Compressor-Gallon/dp/B00W1TNO6U

2. Smittybilt 2781 air compressor: $159 5.65 CFM with 60% duty cycle
https://www.amazon.com/Smittybilt-2781-5-65-Universal-Compressor/dp/B004K25GMG

3. ARB portable air compressor: $334 2.65 CFM with 50% duty cycle
https://www.amazon.com/PD1006-Puma-Volt-Compressor-Gallon/dp/B00W1TNO6U

I'm leaning towards 1 or 2 with spec and value best on the smittybilt

I have 35" tires and will typically air up from 15psi to 37psi when going on the beach or off road.

any thought?

I had the older model puma that I disconnected from the tank and mounted under the hood of my TJ and switch inside. Mounted a 2.5 gallon tank underneath on the drivers side. ran hose and mounted to rear bumper and front bumper. Has been very good to me.

For the Grinch (JLU rubi) I have the smittlybilt as I haven't determined what I want to do for onboard air yet.

I consider the ARB's as to pricey for what you get, just my opinion (just like buttholes, everyone has one, some just stink worse than others. LOL)

I've been running the arb twin compressor using a mount for the engine bay. Keeps it out of the way and easy to access. I'm not sure how well it would work on that setup though? We just do ours manually and it takes a few mins.

I did but was turned off by the 33% duty cycle on the 400p and 440p, they probably would work but running time is not great.

I think I may go with the PUMA as I found a comparison of smittybilt to ARB and the ARB single compressor actually was slightly faster than the 2781 which makes me believe that the smitty is overrated slightly. ARB would be nice but too costly and the PUMA with the air tank and 100% duty cycle should be best overall value

that is awesome and I would love it but don't want to spend all the money on the twin compressor

I have #1 and it works like a champ!

good to hear, I just ordered one on EBAY, will see how it works airing up 4 tires at once, will also compare to my brothers ARB portable air pump

so I got the PUMA and the MORRFlate and I am thoroughly impressed.

all 4 tires (315/70/17 or 35) air down in about 1.5 minutes and air up in just over 8 minutes from 18psi to 40psi (I run mine around 37-40 cold)

the PUMA is also noticeably more quiet than other compressors I have used and didn't even seem to break a sweat or get that hot.

I never thought I could air up 4 35" tires in 8 minutes but it really worked.

pics aren't the best but you get the idea (the MORRFlate connects to all 4 tires and then to the compressor. the puma is really well built, only drawbacks are that it is a bit bigger than I thought and it did not come with alligator clips to go to the battery.
