Air box screw needed

Sometime last year I couldn’t get the wife to swap me vehicles so I could do an oil change. Apparently she had a place change the air filter too and they lost a screw for the air filter lid.

I swear I saw that someone found a screw that matches at a hardware store. Can anyone verify this and where was it gotten?

For the Jeep Wrangler JL, the air filter box typically uses a screw that is a #8-32 x 3/4" or 1" pan head screw, often with a washer. It's possible to find a match at a hardware store if you need a replacement. Make sure the new screw matches the thread size and length to ensure a proper fit.

Yeah, I’m going tomorrow since they were closed today. I couldn’t find near a match at the hardware stores. I used a series of three skinny zip ties to cinch it down for now so I can go to work.

I wish I would have known this. I bought one last summer from quadratec, it cost me the $6 bucks and another $8 or $9 for shipping. $15 for one little screw.

I'm late to the show,
have only had my 19 JL 2dr Sport for 4 months.

Dropped the front screw nearest the rad after inspecting air filter.

POOF !!! Into the interdementional chasm, MIA, prolly nestled next to the missing 10 mm sockets.

Opted for the #10 x 1.25" Sheet metal screw.
You guys rock, thanks for the tip.

I replaced mine after the dealer checked the air filter too, just thought it was funny how many of us had the same guy check our air filters....haha

Wonder why the 6510157AA screw doesn't fit my 3.6l engine. I don't need one now, but curious because I find it's not easy to locate Mopar parts online.
