Air Box Screw Help

Hi All,

I was checking my air filter and dropped one of the air box screws into the netherworld. I've looked all over and used a magnet, so far nothing. Unfortunately my dealer doesn't have any in stock. Does anyone know what size screw that is? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

I’d did this twice before, same screw—owned two JLs at the same time. Why not use clips vice screws. Dumb FCA. I now use a magnet beside the driver when I mess with those screws.

Can these screws be replaced with clips? I'm predicting that I'll be re-installing my airfilter in the future and the plastic holding the screw in will strip.

As for the screw size, I'm not sure what it is. I am a huge fan of Ace and they have a huge assortment of screws that you can find an equivalent. I've also heard (according to google) that the size may be "M5x2.24x30", and it looks like Quadratec has them in stock for $5/piece. The part number is 06510157AA.

Thanks everyone. I just ordered the Quadratec ones. What type of clamp would you be able to use on that? That would be far easier.

My F-150 used clips. Not sure why FCA would use so many screws, let alone screws to begin with.

Are you saying there is something wrong with my trail repair kit? ?

I lost one of them and used a black dry wall screw. No issues and much cheaper than buying a screw from the dealer.
