Source for air filter housing screw?

So I lost an air filter housing screw when changing the air filter. Pulled a complete Houdini disappearing act after I dropped it.

I found the Mopar part but between the overpriced screw and very overpriced shipping, it became $27 for a single screw.
Yeah, I'll tell ya what you can do with your $27 screw...

Anyone know of a remotely reasonable source for an air filter housing screw for the JL 2.0T?

I've had great luck using the hardware section at Ace Hardware to source matching fasteners, or at least something acceptably close. It'll be easiest if you take one of the remaining air filter housing screws with you.

I shit you not a couple of days ago I was walking my dog on the bike path by my house and I could see a screw on the road so we drive that all the time so I stopped to get it off the road. When I saw it I thought it was a drywall screw but nope LOL a freaking air box screw.......what are the chances of that...

Had my 2026 2-door detailed this week and the detail guy found a t40 bolt under the carpet while cleaning.

I must've spent 20 minutes trying to find out where the hell it goes. Turns out it's one of the seat frame bolts, except all 8 of mine are present. I guess during the build the seat guy dropped one and just grabbed another instead of finding it

At least you got extra bolts, my steering stabalizer was only bolted to the steering side.

The non-OEM fasteners should work, provided the owner doesn't mind cutting new threads as they're screwed into the lower portion of the airbox.

Dumb question. Is it different than the 3.6 air box screw? i lost one and bought a few from Quadratec for about $7 each. Then one year later I found it in my diff skid.

Ahhhh those little bastoods. I made a post years ago about loosing those little suckers.

I spray painted the top half of those screws gold. Once I see black I stop removing the screws because I would always drop the black screw in the black abyss of the engine compartment and never to be seen again. The gold limit keeps the screw in the air box cover while far enough out to allow separation of the box halves. It is a small hack that has helped me.
