Not sure what difference you are talking about. I have ordered the part I guess we will wait and see

I almost purchased these but after some research I discovered @nvabill is right. On the Sport grille the color matched part that goes around the headlight is attached to the grille, where as on Sahara and Rubicon it's the removable insert. Took me a few minutes of staring at the inserts wondering how they fit on the grille before I realized they wouldn't, and the differences in the grilles that makes it so. Such a bummer since it's a simple accent that really changes the look of the Jeep and I love it. Looks like us Sport people will have to find alternatives or buy a completely new Sahara/Rubicon grille

I took mine apart and painted them, this is a Sahara, same as Rubicon. Sport is a solid grill, ring around headlight is built into face of grill on a Sport.

Do you think the grill inserts fit if I cut the headlight portion out?

Exactly. There is a matte black grill and a satin black grill. Do they take the inserts?

The pictures of the satin black grill clearly have black inserts.

The matte black grille is the Sport-style. The satin version looks like it is just the main section of the Rubicon/Sahara grille.
