Does anyone have a recommendation for an aftermarket antenna? I don't like the way the OEM one looks and thought that there must be something out there that is equally effective but is perhaps shorter/stubbier and more 'rubbery'.

Thoughts?

A few guys along with myself have gone with the AntennaX 24" CB Style.

AM/FM Radio reception hit/loss is minimal with this antenna. Easily installs on the JL.

I have used this same AntennaX antenna on JK's for years. Quality antenna that weathers well, etc..

Seconded on the 24" antenna x. It's been solid for me.

TheAntennaSource.com is where I got mine. I bought the 1A in a 21" black. Works great. I like that it's tapered...thicker on the bottom and thinner on top.

Yes, I read that. I am likely going to give it a shot. I rarely, if ever, listen to terrestrial radio anyway so it is mostly for the look and durability....but I'd want it to function at the same time in case I ever wanted to listen to FM or, god help me, AM, again. :)
