These replaced the old Rancho 7000. If you don't need the adjustable function of the 9000, these are a little cheaper, but are also better than the old 5000.

@MK212MX What makes them better than the 5000?

Like Jeff mentioned already bigger piston, shaft, and oil. It is also the newer monotube design, not the old dual tube body design. Also has a 9" travel over the 6" travel on the 5000. The 5000 is still a great shock, but for an extra $15 bucks per shock I would get the RS7MT.

@MK212MX Thanks, I don't know Jeff and not sure I saw his/her post.

I didn't see anything about prices posted prior, but seems stupid not to spend $15 extra bucks for the RS7MT based on what you've said has been upgraded.

@Zerokharma Rancho says monotube (RS7MT) has a firmer ride than the twin-tube (5000) if that matters (you said you were concerned about ride).

I'm considering these Rancho 2 to 3.5 inch lift RS7MT shocks for my 23 JLU Willys XR with a 1/2 inch spacer lift (so 2" lift total). But I can't find their compressed / extended lengths posted anywhere. Anyone have that data?
