i really like the step/sliders from Ace Engineering. I had a set on my JK and I have a set on my JT. The downside is they've gotten expensive, have a long lead time (6 weeks when I bought my last set 2.5 years ago), and they're heavy. The upside is they're very beefy and can take a real pounding.

Extreme Terrain's house brand has a similar version to the Ace.

If you can somehow fit it into your budget consider RSE's sliders. It would have been really challenging getting back into the Jeep this weekend without them. The bottom of the Jeep was at least four feet off the ground.
