Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) settings

Have you ever seen these? I installed on my 22 wrangler and it worked really well, until a truck on the interstate at 70 mph threw a huge rock up and it must’ve caught at just the right angle. Otherwise, I had a dozen or so hits that would’ve busted my windshield without it. I called them up and they said they couldn’t replace the windshield but did send me another as a replacement. I saved it for my new jeep!

Knock on wood, I've only had one crack in 6 years of ownership. I have been in a vehicle with something similar. They bother my eyes. I can tell something is on the glass, and it drives me crazy.

Has anyone else noticed that the adaptive cruise control in their wrangler are super aggressive, I was test driving a 2024 Sahara on the interstate and somebody pulled in between me and the car in front of me. Even though there was still stuck plenty of distance between us to gradually slow, it slams on the brakes like they are going to kill me and then when they pull out of the way, we redline it to get back to speed, even though we only needed to go 5 miles an hour faster. I couldn’t find a setting to adjust this in the menus, and have not bought the car yet so I’ve not read the owners manual. Is this customizable? anybody have experience with this?

yeah its overly aggressive. as much as I like it i never actually use it because of that. i figure software will fix the issue.

My wife's Subaru Ascent has ACC and it feels the same as my Wrangler JLUR does when using it. The only difference is the Ascent has an adjustment as to how aggressive you want the cruise to get back up to speed. You can go from a gradual to fast acceleration to the preset speed.
