ABS, ESC and CHECK ENGINE lights have been coming on and off for over 15 months. Waited 8+ months for a new module and the dealership can't get it to program. Tech bulletin and no resolution eta. I've called the dealership repeatedly-no updates.
I've called jeep wave - they say they can't help - call the dealership.
I love my 2021 snazzberry sahara, but I am beyond disappointed with stellaris/jeep and their lack of concern for safety.

Try a different dealership.

They have not been helpful. I was told to contact the dealership. Very disappointed.

This is a known issue. The ABS module failed but the new ABS modules won't program. There was a supplier shift last year and the new modules from the new supplier are all defective. We've had a vehicle down since April because of this. We replaced the module twice and both wouldn't program due to an active internal memory failure DTC. Jeep Cares even tried to kick back the $15k+ rental claim on this vehicle and we had to get our local stellantis rep involved because of their nonsense. The fact they refuse to buy the vehicle back is frankly hilarious. It's a brand new 2023 that the owner only had for a few months. Eventually they'll get sued and have to buy back the vehicle, pay the rental, and pay legal fees. Complete incompetence all around.

If you even wanted to know why most dealers no longer give out rentals, this is why.

The bulletin acknowledging the issue is months old and there hasn't been any updates since. There is literally nothing anyone can do until either the supplier or engineering gets their shit together.

Who is this JEEP CARES person, and why haven't they helped me with my Jeep with the same problem with ESC, ABS, etc. issues? Because Jeep clearly doesn't seem to care. My jeep has been at the dealer for 6 weeks. No ETA on that ABS part.

And before that another dealer had it for 13 days, and they were unable to diagnose, but still charged several hundred dollars and didn't even open an extended warranty ticket, much less fix anything. Literally did nothing and said, "come pick it up." They saw the codes generated. kept for 13 days. And after reset of codes, couldn't get the codes or behavior to return. Until a month later, when I was stuck on the side of the road.

Jeep, do you care?

You seem to be upset with @JeepCares, but Isn't this the first time you've interacted with them?

Ratbert, I saw posts that JeepCares responded to but nothing was posted after each post. It seemed weird because Jeep doesn’t seem to care. No one posted a resolution. Nothing.

as far as jeep cares is concerned, I’m not sending my vin to a stranger. Why don’t you just say what you are willing to do? Be direct and straightforward.

It's their fault that others don't post what the eventual resolution was? That's an interesting way of looking at it.

As far as your VIN goes, are you thinking that's some significant secret? Just walk through a parking lot to see all of those naked VINs just waiting to be stolen by a nefarious VIN thief.

Careful. Jeepcares is an AI program based out of Nigeria. As long as you dont give ā€œherā€ your banking information you should be ok.

Yenori,
Jeep seems to care more about "social engagement" that solving the problem.

Yenori, I find your post disingenuous. Find the part 68438389AE. Contact Benson Jeep in Greer, SC and solve the problem by telling their service department you've sourced the part and what the price is and the ETA for shipping. Until then... Jeep sucks! Stop wasting people time with you "jeep cares" social media crap. I don't buy it. No one does that's on this board. No parts for models from 2019 thru 2024 is terrible.
---------------

Background on how jeep worked treated me as a customer:
My 2019 Jeep was bought used with just over 20k miles in Aug/Sept 2024. I was told it had a clean history. It test drove perfectly fine. Then one day after purchase i had all kinds of dashboard messages. They told me that the codes that turned up with the ESC light and no communication to the TCM was nothing (this was 1 day after purchase). Once on a mountain highway in the rain at night, the ESC light came on and the power steering went out. Then it was fine again until 4 months later, in January 2025, when ESC came on and TCM communication happened after a car wash. Jeep looked at it for 13 days. It could only remote start. Then i was told it was fine. Service technician, after it sat for a week to be looked at, couldn't get the symptom to reoccur. And it did drive well until a month and half later. This time it had to be towed to a dealer service department in early March. After a replacement of the buss (small green box behind the left side of glovebox), the jeep was test driven and had to be towed back to dealer service department. Then I was told the ABS module was backordered ( part 68438389AE) with no ETA. After a month of asking for other options and sources for part and how to get a part alternately sourced to the same rep, i got another rep on the phone who explained i could open a case with a Jeep customer care specialist at Jeep HQ. This was after a month of asking repeatedly "are there other options?", service finally suggested that I call US Customer care. I called and US Customer Care specialist opened a case and referred it to the corporate parts department. It's been almost 3 months. They have not acquired a part, nor have they provided an ETA. She says parts department is working the case, but she only promises weekly updates only on Friday afternoon. If I call during that week, and i'm lucky enough to get her, she says "wait until Friday". if I wait until Friday, she rarely calls. She typically emails on the following Monday and its the same message "no ETA" and "next contact on next Friday". If I get another rep, they rarely get her on the phone. One rep did promise to get answers. That rep never called back. Never emailed back. Nothing.

I test drove a similar Jeep that blue booked at $1500 less than mine. It had 10k more miles but was an 4xe Sahara with a retractable roof. Same internal layout. Jeep sales wanted to get me rock bottom on a trade and pay top dollar on their used higher mileage 4xe. Losing $10k on my Sahara trade and then have the dealer gain another $4k on their used higher milage 4xE didn't work. That is not an option. Keep in mind, i paid $5k extra for an extended warranty with Fidelity - the platinum plan. What's a warranty without a part. What's a part without an ETA.

At this point, I find Jeep service terrible and Jeep salesman even more "sketch", and Jeep's Stellantis Social Engagement team a joke.
