That's about as good as it gets. I would have gone as low as $48,874 so if they are local the slightly higher price probably makes up for the lack of traveling to me to get your new Jeep. Congrats!

I may have to decline delivery. I just took what's effectively a 25% pay cut.
Oh crap. Sorry to hear that Matt. I don't know if I could take delivery either with a 25% pay cut. Hopefully you can get your pay back with today's decent economy and low unemployment.

Unfortunately life is unpredictable. Good thing you found out now. Would have been worse if you found out about the pay cut after taking delivery. At least you have the option of reconsidering. Hope everything works out.

I'm leaning toward keeping my order and taking delivery. I talked to my boss today and he said not to worry, not to cancel my Jeep, that they'd "take care" of us. I track people down for a living and I'm paid a commission when I'm right. They recently raised our base salary but disproportionately cut our commissions, which would amount to a five figure pay cut. This was based on speculation that our newest client would be highly lucrative and it turns out that not only are they not, their work is utter and complete crap. The boss says this was unanticipated and that he and the CEO will make it up to us. Besides, I'm not getting any younger what is life without toys? :D

Yeah man, I mean, I saved up 80% of the final price anyway, only financing the remaining 20%, which amounts to about $10k. The main concern was how difficult it might be to recover from it and save up money again, but it looks like I'll be OK after crunching numbers. I own my house, have no kids and no debt. I'm just really financially responsible so the pay thing kind of triggered me a bit. Like I said, I really need to live a bit and the Jeep definitely fits the bill.
