12% off MSRP. Not that bad and probably about as good as you can get on a 2020 right now.

If you wanted that same Jeep as a 2019 model they are giving them away, you could get one here in MD/VA for under 40k new. But it's a rear older so perhaps not interesting to you.

Thanks, and this wasn't as much about the model year as it was the color. I held out for longer than I would have in order to get Sarge Green.

I called them back and I'm paying a little more to special order it with the all black Willy's wheels, while making sure they install the larger Rubicon tires on them.

Maybe not apples to apples? Not all '19's have the same rebates.

No doubt there are some great deals on left some leftover '19's if your flexible on color, options, engine. The $3K rebate is on select 2019 inventory. He probably would have had to make sacrifices on a '19 that has max rebates. He would have definitely had to sacrifice on color because Sarge Green was just made available a week ago.

Keep in mind, the same car costs a few percentage points more in a 2020. So you're getting a bigger discount and a lower starting cost on a 19. But as you said, it's technically a year older car even if it has no miles on it.
