I just took delivery of my 22 JLUR on 4/13. which replaced my 14 JK. I love the Jeep and its a MAJOR improvement over the JK except for one thing...the A/C. In the JK I would blast the A/C for several minutes then have to turn it down because I would be so cold. In the JL I have it on full blast for over 20 mins and am just comfortable at best. I live in FL and have two small kids so having a good A/C system is imperative. Do JL's not have the same ice cold A/C that the previous Jeeps had? I called my local dealer and they refused to make an appointment because i didn't purchase from them. I ordered it through one of the dealers on the forum discount list. I am just curious if this is normal and if not if there is something I can check myself and maybe an easy fix? Thanks for the help!

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Mine is ice cold. One of the things I do is put the dash vent pointed up so that it cool the heat radiating in from the roof.

This happened with my brand new 2021 Wrangler... turns out one of the AC hoses was leaking and needed to be replaced. Something in the high side front fender flare area

There’s nothing you can do about it yourself. It needs to go to the dealership and be repaired. The JL is equipped with R1234yf freon and gets considerably colder than R134a.

So it sounds like JL’s should get as cold if not colder air coming through than a JK. I guess I have to find another dealer that is willing to do some warranty work. I was very surprised when I was told that I couldn’t get serviced since I didn’t purchase it there.

Turning away A/C work is absolutely stupid. It’s the easiest money a shop can make.
