I installed some rancho geometry brackets on my mopar lifted JLU sport. Caster is now at 7 / 6.8. I used my existing mopar longer arms. Drives great although steering is a bit on the heavy side. No drivetrain vibes and I rarely go in 4H anyway.
Should I be worried about the heavy steering wear and swap the extended arms out for the factory arms that are 1/4" shorter. How much would my caster drop by approximately if I did that?
I got the brackets to improve wander at high speeds. I have 35" tires and my initial caster with the extended arms prior to brackets was at 5.6 / 5.4.
I wouldn't want my caster to drop back down to the mid 5s by going back to factory arms. Should I just leave it as it is or would going to the factory arms bringing it down to the sweet spot of 6-6.5?
From other threads, brackets aside, going from factory arms to extended arms seems to be giving everyone a 1-1.5 degree improvement. I would think going back to factory arms could drop me below where I even was to begin with.
Thanks!
