35 is too big to do anything off road with in an un-lifted sport. A couple members have put on 315/70/17
(not true 35's) ko2's with stock rims and lifted afterwards. I don't know of anyone who left it stock height though.

Are you rubbing at the plastic bumper cover? If so that can be removed, use the search function.

If you are rubbing suspension components (inner rub) then maybe spacers will help your case but you are going to be so poked it will be comical.

If they are too tall and rubbing in that way, a lift would help your case.

Take a photo of the rubbing going on and maybe someone can help ya out.

Did you get your lug nut problem fixed?

Sure has been a learning experience thus far, hopefully you get it worked out since you have to be bummed having issues with a modification this early in ownership.

Yet another first time jeep owner. Find where it’s rubbing and start there... sport s is not equipped to handle 35’s only rubicon’s are which have wider axles , 1.5 inch taller suspension and higher fender flares...

The plastic piece between the bumper and fender can be removed and rubs on bigger tires.

Some guys were running 315 on stock rims and reporting no rub, but you gotta take things with a grain of salt. Not many people are going to get on the internet and say I bought these tires they are too big and I regret it. Most people will naturally defend and justify their purchase.

The 315's that were installed have all had lifts eventually, they didn't come out and say "because I tried to stuff to much tire" but you make make the assumption by their immediate next move, which is lifting the vehicle.

If money is tight it may be best to sell the and tires and recoup enough to purchase a size that is more appropriate (285/70/17-295/70/17-285/75/17). But ya gotta see if the rim or 12.5 wide tire is causing the issue.

Appreciate it man. I'm gonna check after work and see where its rubbing. Maybe I can just get that budget 2" lift if I can't resolve it.
All you need to do is adjust your steering stops a couple turns out. Problem solved. No spacers needed.

Since I came to this forum tons of people were putting 35s on the sport with no lift reporting no issues. What's changed since then? yeah I wasn't paying attention and missed the lug adapter tire rack sent me. I guess I'm going to have to try to put some touch up paint around the spots I messed up. I'll have to get back to you on the rest. It does feel like it's rubbing on some type of plastic. I'm like beyond my budget so buying more like potentialy a lift is gonna kill me.
I'd be willing to bet it was Rubicons not Sports... Look at my sig. Nobody is running sports on 35s with no rubbing.

Yeah it's an option depending on if it's the height of the tire or the wheel offset. I'm gonna see where it's rubbing later and possibly remove air damn later and I'll report back. Thanks guys for the help so far.

Op has sport, to those sport owners watching the forums 35 x12.5 is too much tire at stock height.
Jury is still debating whether a 35 is even ok for the 30 Dana axle equipped on the sport. Speedo is going to be almost 10% off as well.
