I'm trying to figure out what is the best way to configure the 6 speakers in my JLU Alpine. I would like to have great sound but a stealthy look and try to keep the speakers costs under $750 (without the sub). Do you run the front as a shared channel? Separate? Or just do components and put a 6 1/2 in the knee and a tweeter in the dash? The only thing I have consistently seen is keeping the soundbar as just basic fill.

Also is there a way to just do the speakers first, then upgrade with an amp later on? Also not sure how much DSP gains you in a Jeep when frankly it is not the most friendly platform.

I have the factory Alpine system with the sub. Was underwhelmed with how "tired" the audio got after a few hours of loud listening on the highway.

I toyed around with the idea of going crazy with an amp set up and upgrading all of the speakers - but then I wound up with the Terra Acoustics front sound stage upgrade.

This made such and improvement to my listening experience, frankly, I've completely forgotten about upgrading anything else. Worth a look - replaces your factory dash speakers with a mid driver and a tweeter with a very stealthy factory look.

My only complaint now is really relegated to the subwoofer.
