Before anyone buys a 4xe I highly suggest doing a thorough test drive. Drive it like you would on a daily basis.
Cross a 4 lane divided street from a complete stop. Merge into traffic from 30 mph to 60 mph. Turn right in front of traffic (at a normal safe distance).
If you like the response of the electric motor from off idle and how the ICE kicks in to help, then buy it.
I got rid of mine because of the way it drove and the irregular behavior was tiring.
It was fast, almost as fast as a 392. I think it is actually faster from 0-30. But the stars had to be aligned just right for that to happen.
All the recalls and battery concerns were just icing on the cake for me. I never stopped charging it during the moratorium period, but is was always charged outdoors. I did have a battery failure end of ‘24 after 23 months of ownership.
