Can you please send some pics of where you trimmed.

I run 5" lift only 3" bump stops, 3.5 backspace wheels, no fender chop just trimmed sheet metal in rear and I touch nothing.

All you do is carry the contour of the wheel well straight through its about 1" off the bottom corners right behind your rear tires, also I should mention I have all 8 adjustable control arms which you set as far forward as you can so the tires don't rub the front of the wheel well at full compression.

That’s a great idea. I’ll give that a shot

Nice Rubi

Looking forward to the day mine will articulate and touch nothing.

I have 3.5” backspace wheels and my 40’s hit all over the place. Next task is to push front axle forward so tires stop hitting the firewall on turns with a bump or while backing up at full lock

It definitely takes some fine tuning but you will get there.

How are you guys not rubbing the front inner liners rear wheel wells!? It’s driving me nuts. Already cut up my new tires.

I’m running hydro front bumps lowered all the way down. 4” bump stops in the rear and trimmed wheel well, Road armor fenders, 3.5” lift, 1.75” wheel spacers and I still rub.

I love the clearance 40’s gives me off-road but the rubbing is driving me absolutely crazy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I’ve read all the technicals on the new axles .250 more
On wall thickness and .150 on ends . There’s no way 40’s will be okay long term on stock.
The JL diameter is .250 more than JK, not the tube thickness. Diameter is more important. Tube strength goes up as the fourth power, and it is called Moment of Inertia, or Inertial Stiffness:

3.14159265 Ă— (D4 - d4) Ă· 64

So, if the wall thickness of the tube remains the same, and assuming a ÂĽ" wall thickness, the axle would be 46% stiffer.

But maybe I read the specs wrong. Can you site a definite source?

See my build thread to links where folks claim 38+ is too much, even with RCV axel sets and truss.

How did you remove the lower part of the fenders? I know it's a dumb question. I've also got a JLU Rubicon and I can't figure it out. Especially the rear fenders.
Look into American Adventure Labs fender chop. Lots more clearance, and they look fantastic.
