So I added 2 sets of 4 bangers to my 392. One set on the A pillar, and one set on a metalcloak bumper in place of the fog lights. The A pillar ones are flawless. The fog light ones come on for a second, then turn off. Anyone having this issue?

What part number lights do you have?

The last I looked, they didn't have any JL specific fogs. If you're connected to the factory harness, the module is likely seeing a different amp draw and shutting them down over a perceived failure.

I have the set for the JK. I was told the reason they don’t have any for the JL was because they don’t have a mounting bracket for the JL, but since I was using an aftermarket bumper, it should be fine. Clearly it’s not. Surely there is a way to make them work. The flash on intermittently.

If they’re designed for the JK, then they may need a resistor to work. The JK didn’t have factory LED fogs. That unit may be a plug and play for an incandescent bulb circuit. I’m sure if you call them and ask, they can give you the resistor part number that will work. Next stop should be them, I think. They have likely fielded this issue many times already.

To update what I’ve learned. Morimoto is in the process of building a harness for the JL. They estimated a release this month or early next.
