3rd gear power-auto trans

Does anyone else feel a slight loss of power when the automatic trans shifts into 3rd and into 4th gear? I mostly detect it during when driving around town at slower speeds. This is a stock JLUS.

Does anyone else feel a slight loss of power when the automatic trans shifts into 3rd and into 4th gear? I mostly detect it during when driving around town at slower speeds. This is a stock JLUS.

You should "feel" a slight loss of power each time the transmission shifts into a higher gear as they have less of a mechanical advantage to trade for the ability to move the vehicle at a higher speed than the next lower gear. What you also might be feeling is if you are maintaining speed your ECU is shifting to a higher gear and closing the throttle for more efficient cruising rather than holding a lower gear and an open throttle.
