They are both frustrating and fun. A lot of frustration can be avoided by wathing a few videos on assembling the printer abd making sure everything is square.

Good to know...thank you. Been doing a little research on what might be a good starter printer, but haven't decided on one. What I don't want to do is buy something "cheap", only to find out I should have bought something a little more expensive/better quality. With that said, right now it would be more of a "toy", than anything else. I would likely try to figure out printing hinge covers and such...but I guess the options are almost endless as to what you can 'produce'.

I worked at RadioShack in ~2011-2014 and had a 3D printer on my desk to play with. SUPER fun. It was the Afinia. Good machine, I printed all sorts of stuff.

Oh, gotcha. You wanna mount it to the mirror, but for a JL. I know I don't have the file for the TPU band in the picture. TPU and sunlight aren't best of friends. Is your heart set on mounting it to the mirror? Also, your printer. 3MF or STL format prints? I do both, STL with an Ender Neo Max, 3MF with a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. So a lot of the files I do have are already setup with MMU in mind.

I have the Bambu it does ark files and here is another one that you actually unscrew mirror and put it inside

Nice, then you're able to print a ton of great filament. That last pic you posted. That bracket actually mounts between the mirror and door. The bracket is split in order to slide the control wiring through for the mirror through the bracket. However, that gap would be best filled with whatever type silicone to limit or eliminate any moisture from getting inside the door. Just pointing that one detail out, not deterring you from this project. Only other detail I see, home made gasket for the area between the bracket and door. I'm gonna finish a design I'm doing and post it here for you to check out. Easy print, one bolt, wraps around the arm of the mirror, and easily installed and removed. BTW, nice printer. I hope you find tons of great projects with it.
