Since ordering a new JL, it seems all I do in my spare time is watch Wrangler JL YouTube videos (some of them COUNTLESS times), read up on Wrangler JL statistics and specifications, spend obscene amounts of time on this forum, read the JL owner's manual and owner's guide cover to cover, and when driving take "shortcuts" that bring me to all the local Jeep dealerships to look at the latest JLs. What have I gotten myself into? Does this condition get worse when I actually get my Jeep? I was reading a thread about what the first thing people are going to do when they take delivery of their JL, and someone said "cry"...I can completely relate to this...am I beyond help?
I was on the forums every day for months and months waiting for the JL release. Then I decided to go with a JK 3 weeks ago

I’m still on the forums for mods, info, tweaks, etc

I'm still looking at JKs even though I have ordered a JL. You can get some fantastic deals and they are plentiful. I especially like the Oscar Mike variant.
That’s exactly what I got!

The issue in our area is for $1000 more I could buy a JL so that’s the only reason in bought a JL. I was planning on buying a 2018 JK the next morning had I not found the one I have.

It’s been 30+ years since I’ve had a Jeep. I’m not sure I’ll buy first but I know I’ll love it, whatever it is.
My last jeep was a 2003 Rubicon, the first year they made them.

Hi. I too am a Jeepiholc. Picked up the rubicon in early February. I’ve been obsessed over everything Jeep since. (1979 CJ5 parked in the garage already). Just witnessed some Jeep love today: had dinner with the Jeep parked outside. A couple drove in, and they both “pranced” around the JL pointing out to each other the headlights, the little Jeeps on the rims, etc... when they came inside, I asked them if they liked it, and he raved about it is the first one he’d seen. Loving our purchase, and others excitement over it too!

It is a serious addiction... I received all the aftermarket parts catalogs and then I couldn’t find them and my 11 year old informed me that mom threw them all away... lol.... I sold the JK a few months ago to get ready for the JL so I’ve been jeepless and it sucks but I get to pick up the JL this Friday and I seriously can’t wait!!! I reordered all the catalogs!!

Does this condition get worse when I actually get my Jeep?

...am I beyond help?
Yes, yes it does and yes, yes you are  In addition to the adverse effects you've had since ordering, you can also expect weekly (at a minimum) deliveries of Jeep parts and accessories, an ever growing wish list of additional parts and accessories, subscriptions to Tread and Outdoorx4 mags, eyeing every snowbank as a challenge, and constant remarks from a S.O. like "you're still looking at Jeep stuff?!"

Additionally - I find myself looking at accessories that I would NEVER use. Like a rooftop tent. I want one. Very badly. But quite frankly there's no place in MN that I've discovered where I could actually use it.

Oh and checkout Trail Recon and [Banned Site] on YouTube if you haven't already. Fun and interesting vids to watch!
