One of the major draws to the Wrangler are the available accessories and the driver's imagination.

Whether it's an off road experience, or cruising down the highway with one or more of its body parts removed, or simply the mere thought of doing these things, a Wrangler can be more comforting than, at times, medicine designed for that effect.

Secondly, it's not only where you're traveling, in mind or actuality, its how you've set up your rig (or plan to set up your rig) to accomplish that. With the greatest dealer and aftermarket accessories available, only wallet and imagination, not availability, limit you.
My previous offroad vehicle had very healthy aftermarket support, but nothing compares to the Wrangler aftermarket. Been looking forward to getting in on such fantastic selection of anything one can think of. Soft-tops, bikini tops, bumpers, axles, rails, half doors, you name it!

Yeah, my spouse will catch me watching YouTube and will say "Jeeps again??" When mine finally arrives I'm probably going to spend a lot of time in the garage
My wife always teases that I'm watching Jeep "porn" again and then closes the garage door behind her when she goes in. :giggle:
Good thing she has her own JK so she understands. :cwl:

Yeah it is a life long thing I got my first jeep in 1977. Cj7 Golden eagle 2 doors soft top only you could not lock it No keys for steel bar frame doors with just canvas stretched around it. just a simple twist latch it would blow open in high winds. Zippered windows. I drove it 95% of the time with top off most times doors off When I sold it to buy my first house I had dreams bad dreams about it being gone. I can’t walk down the street without noticing any jeep. From old yjs to tjs jku etc. I saw a to with a flat tire. And thought as I walked by with the dogs. “I wonder how much I could get that 1 for?”

I was one of the first JLUR's delivered in Maryland and I'm on here every day. Learing helping others, and creating a to do list. It's like having a four wheel drive Harley Davidson . My wife thinks I'm nutz ! It's a life style.

Since ordering a new JL, it seems all I do in my spare time is watch Wrangler JL YouTube videos (some of them COUNTLESS times), read up on Wrangler JL statistics and specifications, spend obscene amounts of time on this forum, read the JL owner's manual and owner's guide cover to cover, and when driving take "shortcuts" that bring me to all the local Jeep dealerships to look at the latest JLs. What have I gotten myself into? Does this condition get worse when I actually get my Jeep? I was reading a thread about what the first thing people are going to do when they take delivery of their JL, and someone said "cry"...I can completely relate to this...am I beyond help?
Did I write this? This is me to a "T".

My wife loves the Jeep, but thinks because it is a Rubi, it doesn't need anything else! But, when people ask if we're taking it to the mountains when it looks SO good, she says "That's what we bought it for!" So there is that.

On my NEED list:
  • Build/Buy a hoist system
  • Cargo net for the back so the dogs can't jump out
  • All Weather mats for the front

On my WANT list:
  • Winch
  • Light bar
  • Anything else that I find in the quadratec catalog

Sitting here with the family and my wife just asked "Are you looking at Jeeps again?!?!??" Of course I am, so I had her read a few of your posts so she'd understand its not just me!

Had to join this group. Waiting on my first jeep ever. 70 year old Vietnam vet and acting like a kid waiting for Christmas. just wish I could get some questions answered so I can start ordering stuff...Want to buy 33" tires and wheels that just stick out a bit beyond the fenders and do not require any lift. Can't get a solid answer regarding what offset I might need. Then grab handles, floor mats, and a bunch of other stuff.....
