Wife‘s ‘21 JL has been at dealership for 3 weeks now supposedly needing a new ”battery pack”. Have routinely contacted dealership, Jeep Cares and Jeep Wave.

Week 3 and we still do not have any timeframe other than “part may be weeks on back order” or when we can even expect parts (battery pack) in or even when to expect to have JL fixed. This was after we were initially told it would only be 4 days to get parts needed.

Took it in for a constant CEL and an occasional red battery indicator.

While I understand supply chain, and don’t necessarily accept it, are we at the point when there isn’t even the ability to give a timeline. This is supposedly at one of the largest dealer networks in the country. At minimum, largest here out west.

Nothing like a brand new JL sitting in 110 degree heat at dealership for weeks. Probably a good thing wife has my Gladiator to drive ?

At my job we don't give time frames anymore. Theres product we're getting in now that was ordered last September. Time frames or schedules or whatever don't mean diddly squat anymore personally I don't think they ever did tbh.

Welcome to the Forum, from Cave Creek AZ.
I know, forecast 114 degrees today..nasty. Unfortunetly, parts availability for almost anything that one’s buys today, has become a real issue. I have had the under hood insulation on order for ours, going on 10 months. All they say is it is on back order. But I wonder what they are using on the assembly lines..

Thanks for the welcome. Lurker here and more active over on gladiator forum.

I wonder the same ......at a minimum I would expect the large dealers to have a little bit of pull with parts. Maybe not. Who knows.

No we don't get ETA's at all anymore, seems like parts are being built to order at this point. We have several engines ordered with no idea when they'll be available. Ford, GM, and chrysler. It's no one particular companies fault here.

This seems to be what is happening in our case As I am sure many others. We were getting no response from anyone including the dealership finally asking to speak to dealer GM. This finally got us a response.

We now know for fact that we are at the mercy of a VIN# specific part that is under control of an entity called “The Star Center” or something like that. This group has to release vehicle specific parts to fix vehicles. Until they release our parts, my wife’s brand new vehicle sits in a lot heading into week 4. No dates given yet.

Dealer did divulge that they have MANY MANY vehicles is same boat sitting on their lot. I hate to say, this CF is not going away anytime soon.

I also would be none too happy either to say the least. I can't believe the can't get one from the assembly line and program it to your vin and ship it out. Did they at least give you a loaner? I think as long as yours and everyone else's sits at the dealer and isn't on the road being used they should extend your warranty out by that much time!
