I will need to replace the serpentine belt soon, and I think there is a 2nd smaller belt there also which needs to be replaced.

Could someone please give me some guidance on this?

How does one handle the E-Torque starter belt?
Does that starter belt need to be removed to replace the serpentine belt?

When does the E-Torque starter belt need to be replaced?

THanks in advance,

Here’s a video I made for my ‘21. It should give all the info you need. There’s no guidance really on the belts. You can use a wear indicator tool that measures the belt groove depth but generally that’s difficult to get to and see. Belts these days last longer so from what I can find, best guidance would be 75k-100k miles depending on use case.

Odyssey's video is very detailed. Be absolutely sure you route the belt correctly during reinstall. It CAN be installed incorrectly and the MGU will start clunking around letting you know it's wrong. He has the diagram in the video.

What is MGU?

The 2 things I have questions on:

Should the water pump be replaced when doing all that?

My other question was can the serpentine belt replace without removing the starter e-torque belt and all that other stuff?
