On to my second battery failure in 4 years. Every 30,000 miles, then brick. Have 59,000 on a 2021. Getting its second STAR claim since I bought it new. Just recieved lifetime warranty on battery letter in the mail but honestly, I am torn. Anybody else had 2 critical failures now. Time to trade now that its back to "new". Or keep and try and set a record?

If you regularly charge it and drain it daily then ~30k miles is about average out of the pack. The latest software is VERY strict on cell balancing parameters to the point where an otherwise serviceable pack it'll throw the replacement codes. It's just something you'll have to accept as a 4XE owner going forward.

If you charge it less frequently the packs last longer

I think I got about 25,000 miles on the first battery. Charging twice a day M-F and on occasion during the weekend.

It's all fluid, no one knows exactly what is going on.

Some batteries have fail very soon, some still are going strong after 5 years, and a lot more than 30K miles, same goes for the problem with the ECH.

The majority of 4xe have not have any issues so far, but that is really only a matter of time for the HV battery, and ECH to fail.

68C seems to be more sensitive at detecting the HV failure which is a plus.

Just need Jeep to step up, and do the same unlimited warranty on the ECH, the ECH seems to be failing more regularly, and that's $1,000+ to fix.

Thanks for the comments guys. Sadly this chapter is done and whomever the next one brave enough to buy this 4xe from the dealer can have the battery warranty that comes with it after they get it fixed again. I did enjoy this vehicle the past 5 years but I'm ready to move on (and fearful of 1st gen electric vehicles) so back to straight gas and a RAM truck. (hoping the RAM 1500 REV is everything I read it to be). Thanks for all your help over the years!
