2dr soft top rearward inner flap

Hello,

Just got my 2025 soft top replaced under warranty. The original struts were bent out and punched a hole in my original top. They had to get a replacement “kit” and top. It took the noob tech many, many hours to replace.

I noticed two things. When testing folding mechanism, etc., the side & back windows are much easier to put back in when the top is still back in safari mode. I had previously only put the side/back on when the top is already secured forward.

Second; there is an inner flap about a foot long above the window toward the rear.

Does this flap go down to the window, or tucked up toward the top?

The one on the side window points up towards the top I put mine behind the rest of the flaps up there usually.

This flap is attached to the top, right above that side flap.

This whole fold, flap and strut talk is very interesting.

I just push a button and a couple chipmunks pull mine back with strings or some such mess.

This flap is attached to the top, right above that side flap.

Then if its attached to the top then it would go down on the outside of the window flap. At least thats how mine was from the factory and sits nicest.

Speed & release the latches and mine is automatic also!

I live in the Mid-Atlantic where it's sunny and dry one minute and thunder storming the next, so I've never had the doors off of any of my Jeeps and why I love the SOT. I wish I could go topless and doorless without worry, cuz yeah ^^^^ that's definitely the ugly cousin. Still better looking than a Bronco top down, doors off.

And I live in the south where it's exactly the same kinda weather and doors come off and top go down whenever possible. You can put on your big boy pants and do it.
