anyone tried or considered the 255/80R17 in lieu of the 285/70R17? Would be a taller, narrower alternative but not sure how it might look on factory wheel with the factory sport fenders.

I can't imagine the .2" on each side of the wheel causing an issue. Odd size though.

I wasn’t thinking about the height but rather the narrower profile being weird. I tend to like the tall skinny tire look over the large fat tire look, but sometimes it doesn’t look right with a large fender.

They also have a 295/70R17

2018 JLU Sahara... preceded by 2012 JKU Sahara, Multiple CJ's, TJ's even XJ, WJ & WK2... yup, Always loved my jeeps :)
KO2's also come in a 34x10.5 / 17 - The actual is = 33.5" 10.6"

I considered this as it Comes in a D Ply. That said, I opted for the 285 / 75 / 17. I was just at my tire shop with my new wheels + 285 / 70 / 17. While they are wider by 1.5" they were only a slight bit taller. Much as I wanted to drive away with new rubber / alloy. I opted to wait for them to swap out with the 75 vs 70. Mostly however, because I am doing 2" of suspension eventually and was convinced that the 70's will be too small at that point and the 75's will in fact be the taller narrower alternative.

Got them on this morning. Barely notice any power loss and smoother than the 235 Kevlars. Drove about 57 miles on them and averaged 20 mpg mixed. So no noticeable fuel drop. Speedo is off 2 mph and my Superchip Flashcal module gets here tomorrow. I already have the programmer from my JK. They measure 32.5” and inflated to 34 psi

That looks like it would be zero lift on the black unlimited

@Irnbru, those tires look great on the stock steel wheels!
