Anyone running a +12 offset (5.7” backspace) wheel on a jeep with the Xtreme 35 package?

Aren’t the XR wheels pretty close to the same, or maybe +20 ?. Little or no difference. … 0 offset puts 12.50’s tread ~ even with XR extensions.

The wheels I’m looking at are 8.5x17 with + 25 offset compared to the stock 8 inches wide and +12 offset.

The math, if correct, says this will bring the inside of the wheel 19.35mm or 0.74in closer to the Jeep and the outside of the wheel retracted under the fender by 6.65mm or 0.26in compared to stock.

about 1/2” in, the wheel difference is centered with the tread wider so hopefully no rubbing. I would go the other way 1/2” out to ~0 … 8.5” -1mm

The +12 works great with my current setup. Everything tucks in perfectly. Not interested in changing it but the new wheels I want only come in +25 as they were specifically designed for a standard JLUR. I’m guessing that means the axles are longer on the X package?

What wheels do you have there?

Of course, you will Never want 37’s, will you ?! That’s what they all say, including me. 37’s next time I wouldn’t take the chance… Same width axles…… Titan 7, T-AK2 Bronze

At 21/3 lbs, my combo with 59 lb Toyo AT3’s is the same or a couple lbs lighter than the stock 7.5” 44mm BCD’s and 285/70 KO2’s ~80/82 lbs. ….. specs 21 lbs at purchase but their site now shows 23 lbs

Rubi’s all have the wide axles, search if in doubt. Works, no issues is likely why, plus 35’s have 8” min recommended width, JPP BCD’s in the size were already available before the XR pkg, mine is a 21 pre XR and had 7.5” 44.45mm BCD’s - 33’s and 35’s worked. …. Anyway, IMHO stick to about the 12 to 0 mm range.

They will work just fine with xr package xr adds the fender extension is all but axle is the same width.

Stock JL wheels other than the XR are +44 offset not +12

What are the new wheels you're looking at?
I'm still on factory Rubicon wheels with KO2 37s, which DT installed, but I'm pretty sure the next set of tires will require 8.5" width. I like the factory backspacing and don't want extra poke, so I would be looking for +25.

Most aftermarket upgrades usually recommend or require 4.5 inches of backspace minimum (0 offset). I also have the -1 offset on 37 ko2s, and they are flush with the extentions.
