New member/Jeep owner here.

Only had the JL Sport for a couple weeks now and I'm already regretting the manual mirrors.
Its a pita to readjust the mirrors when the wife wants to drive it and then back again for me.
I've searched the DIY threads and the forum in general but can't find anything on what's needed to install the factory or factory(ish) aftermarket adjustable mirrors anywhere.

I know, "who wants/needs adjustable mirrors on a 4x4"? Well this Jeep isn't going to be a rock crawler or serious offroad vehicle. It'll be a mostly road, fireroad and desert Jeep with frequent driver changes, hence the adjustable mirrors.

I've found the mirrors, inside door handle with the cutout, mirror control switches and a crap load of non discriminate wiring harnesses in multiple versions but no wiring or pigtails I can directly identify to wire everything up.

I must not be the only person who wants factory adjustable mirrors and not the Boost Auto ones.

Anyone else out there done this?
Anyone know if the wiring harness is in the doors already? How about the wiring/harness to crossover to the passenger door?
I know on the3rd gen Ram trucks like mine all/most of the upgrade harnesses are already installed but I dont know about the Jeeps.

Any info you all can give me would be extremely helpful.

Soooo, I guess I'm the only one who wants to or did this?

There's something to be said about being unique I guess... lol

I just think its going to be a real pain to add the wires into the mirror housing from inside the jeep aftermarket. Unless the wiring is in the plug, there is no easy way to fish wires there. Does Boost allow you to add power mirrors to a non powered mirror Jeep?

Question you need to answer is if the wiring is there or not. Remove your mirror and possibly door card and see if the plug is there.

If it is, you may be able to buy a used door cards with the power mirror adjustment switch in it, used power mirrors, and turn it on with J-Scan.

But that's IF the wiring is there in the door already. If it's not there, the next place to see is if it's at the door plug in the kickwell, that you could tap and maually run, or replace the door wiring harness with the one that does have the wires in it. But that's only if the wires are at the door plug. You'll need a wiring diagram to figure that one out, no idea what those wires are.

If neither are true well...kinda out of luck without some aftermarket solution.

Borrow someone's door with power mirrors and see if they will work when plugged into your harness. If not, then the power isn't going from the Jeep to the door, and your job will be a whole lot more difficult.

The easiest solution is to tell your wife to drive her own vehicle.

Hmm that would be a good test for driver's side. Need both doors to test passenger side since the mirror controls are on the door.

All really good suggestions that need to wait until my back gets better.
I was hoping someone did this already and I could tap into their experience while I'm sitting on my arse and enjoying my muscle relaxants.

Boost Auto has the pigtails attached on the mirror for heat and adjustment.
Some of the aftermarket factory clones also have them. The factory of course does not and you have to source them.
As for the wiring diagrams, they're easily sourced.
Well, give me a week or two for my back to heal and I'll remove the door cards and see what all's there.

Its nice to have 19 years experience with my dodge/ram truck. I've learned how to fab wiring harnesses pretty well considering Ram doesn't make most of them anymore.
I also learned a lot having owned a Fiat 131, a Lancia and a 69 Mini in the past.
Nothing like an English or Italian car to give you the incentive to learn advanced wiring skills!

Maybe some Suma curved mirrors might mitigate the constant adjustment issue.
