Picked this jeep up with 27 miles on it. After a few miles it started steering bad just all over the road, no one wants to drive it because its just is not safe.
The dealer has been no help at all . They fixed a steering damper that was bad. That did not help at all. Now they say the rear shocks are blown with only 10,000 miles on . This is just a main road jeep, never been off road. I think it got damage before I got it.
Any thoughts would be great.

Random thoughts:

-Confirm the proper fluid level in power steering reservoir.
-Confirm the proper PSI in all four tires.
-Confirm that correct tread wear is occurring on all four tires. If not, at least that might be cross-walked to faulty rear suspension.
-Examine the steering and suspension components to see if there's any damage or odd-looking wear that jumps out.
-Can the dealer be persuaded to examine the steering box for proper functioning? If the vehicle is still under warranty, and with the problem still occurring, they owe you more than just replacement of the steering damper.

As written, your post states that you've been driving a poorly-steering Jeep for ~10,000 miles. Hopefully that didn't cause additional damage to occur during that time.

Try anorher dealer who knows jeeps

Last option. Pay to have a non jeep shop give you written estimate, take that in to dealer.

I have to drive 2 hours to dealer i trust, even though closest is 15 minutes away.

Factory shocks are garbage on these. Mine are leaking with 7000 miles. Not even going to bother with repairing under warranty just going to upgrade.
