To those who have 2024s and have changed wheels and tires: are there 2024 specific sensors? I know in my 2022 JT there was the year split for sensors so when I ordered my wheels and tires for my 2024 JLU I got the newest sensors. Of course, after some driving they are not reading. Do I need to do a learn procedure? (wake them up, drive, etc)?

Also, has anyone with a 2024 changed speakers? I got a 4xe sport S - basically because I didn't need to go higher trim for my daily and the non-Alpine system is garbage. I want to upgrade speakers (i realize that an amp is needed to get great sound but I'm certain an aftermarket speaker option will be at least measurably better than factory) but I dont know what sizes to get. I have to assume they are the same as 2023 despite the soundbar redesign. mall crawling PFA

They'll definitely need to go through a learn procedure for the computer to link them to your vehicle and set what position they're at.

Any chance you can tell me what that is? IDK why Jeep isnt like other brands that just go thru the DIC and use a learn tool. (which i have for my other cars)

at a constant speed? theyve been on for 30 miles already but just around town fun.
No, not necessarily constant. Last time I switched wheels/tires, it took about 15 mins of driving before the TPMS light went out.

Are any of them displaying the tire pressure on the instrument cluster?

nope - just service tpms and showing no values. I wonder if i have to wake them up. Vendor confirmed they are the newer sensors so I know its not that. I may air down, drive, add air, drive. and see what happens.

That may do it for you. I don't have my wrangler yet and haven't had to do a reset on one either. The internet claims it should just be like others have mentioned, drive and they'll eventually reset themselves.

I hope there's an easier way with something like the Autel MaxiTPMS tool since that's what I've used for the past 7 or 8 years on all my other vehicles. I don't like to wait for the "auto-relearn" garbage. :D I just looked at the Autel site and they claim these are likely autolearn systems and there's not an option to do a stationary or odb relearn :(

yeah, I've used the tool and relearn procedures on all my other cars. This is just dumb

as far as speakers. it seems the alpine system is exactly the same as 2023 and previous years. I have a 2024 willys with alpine and just pulled 4" speakers from my soundbar last week to put polyfill behind them in sound bar which made a nice acoustic difference. The speakers in soundbar have not changed with 2024 "refresh" .I am awaiting some new 3.5" mb quart speakers to replace the dash speakers. I haven't looked under the grills of speakers on the dash but everything seems to be the same as previous years so assuming it is. I will know for sure in the next few days when my speakers arrive and I install them in the dash.

I asked ChatGPT about this specifically for 2018+ JL Jeeps and here's what it suggested. I'd be curious to know if this works for you and if it does trigger relearn mode, will your TPMS tool let you skip the deflate-inflate process? Fingers crossed that this works!

  1. Ensure All Tires Are Properly Inflated: Before attempting to reset the TPMS, make sure all your tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure levels.
  2. Turn Ignition On: Start by turning the ignition to the "On" position. You don't need to start the engine; just turn the key or push the start button without pressing the brake pedal.
  3. Use the Headlight Switch: Find the headlight switch on the left side of the steering wheel. You need to perform a specific series of actions using this switch.
  4. Toggle the High Beam Lights: Quickly toggle the high beam lights from off to on three times. This should be done within a few seconds, and the final position should be in the "On" position.
  5. End in the "On" Position: After toggling the high beam lights three times, leave them in the "On" position. This should initiate the TPMS relearn mode.
  6. Wait for the TPMS Indicator to Flash: The TPMS indicator light on the dashboard should start flashing. This indicates that the vehicle is in relearn mode.
  7. Start with the Driver's Side Front Tire: To complete the relearn process, you'll need to deflate and then reinflate each tire in a specific order. Start with the driver's side front tire and work your way around the vehicle in a clockwise direction.
  8. Wait for Confirmation: After properly deflating and reinflating each tire, the TPMS indicator should stop flashing, indicating that the relearn process is complete. This might take a few minutes.
  9. Turn Ignition Off: Once the TPMS indicator stops flashing, turn the ignition off. This completes the TPMS relearn process.

Sadly this is not even close to being accurate. Jeep and all FCA cars are auto relearn. If the sensors are accurate, inflate to door placard and drive.

I'm not even surprised that ChatGPT had this crazy of a hallucination. Bard tried to suggest the "TPMS reset button" which I already knew was fake news and when I told it as much, it then went to correcting itself and saying that it'll just auto-learn the sensors.

I just hate being at the mercy of "it'll fix itself, eventually" :D

Not at the mercy of it will fix itself eventually. If the sensors are correct the system literally relearns in about a block if everything is proper. FCA is the best TPMS system out there. Try doing TPMS for Toyota, Lexus, Honda and Infiniti. That RELEARN is a PITA. Have to have a special tool with OBD connection. Can't swap between summer and winter without doing a relearn each time. (well technically there is a way)
