Hi y'all. First post on the forum.

I was able to find a 2024 Willys last week and love everything about it except the Wrangler stock speakers. It's the new head unit and stock speakers (no Alpine). I've seen a few threads about the sound system and wanted to tap into the community for some help. The speaker phase and pairings have me confused about what I can or should do.

From what I can tell, the speaker setup is the same as before with 3.5s in the upper dash/roll bar and 4s in the knee panel/roll bar. The roll bar is a redesign for the 2024 with the pods changing shape due to the side curtain airbag actuators being inside. There are no roll bar speaker mounts out yet for the 24's. I took it over to a local shop and they told me to wait for mounting kits before changing speakers. The higher end shop said they would be able to 3D print some (at a cost). Crutchfield has no information but said things are probably the same as a 23.

Has anyone swapped the speakers in a 24 yet? What speakers did you go with for your swap outs previously? My plan is/was go with some higher efficiency upper dash speakers like the Infinity 3032 or the Hertz DCX 87.3 and wait for hardware to come out for the roll bar. I'm trying to avoid amping the speakers to save on cost. I will add a 10 or 12" sub to the back. Thank you!

Doctor Tide, I just recently purchased a 2024 Wrangler as well and the speaker pods are different as you stated. There are lights in the speaker pods and No aftermarket pods are available as of yet. But I did upgrade the front dash speakers to Terra Acoustic, great alternative but they outshine the sound bar speakers! also the steering is much tighter than 18-23 JL. I’m thinking certain lift kits will be different for the 2024, check out Epic Adventures Outfitters You tube channel on the 2024 They recently did a lift on a 24 Willys. Far as speaker pods we are in a holding pattern for now.

As for the speaker phasing, it's really something to not worry about. Audio companies will make changes to phase to accommodate various issues created when having a stereo in a car.

As for speakers, pick what sounds the best to your ears. I haven't worked on a '24 yet (I have a buddy with one on order that I might be doing an install on but that remains to be seen) but a stopgap would be to replace what's in there, and wait for new panels to be made.
