Jeep Fam,

I need help. I’m getting ready to regear from stock 3.45 to 4.56 to run 35s also adding Dynatrac 2” inch lift.

Axles: Dana 30 M186 (front) / Dana 35 M200 (rear)

here’s what I got in my order cart so far. I’m sure I’ll be needing more stuff but can you review and let me know what else is needed.

much appreciated

if you are planning on regearing - id look into LSD in the front and rear. If you want lockers then maybe just look at Rubicon take off axles so you have a much strong axle moving forward.
if none of that matters then all you need are those parts and a good shop.

Your list looks complete 👍
Although, shop around because you likely can find ALL that stuff in stock somewhere.

You really should have a rear M220 in your cart. 😜

Seriously though, that is the bare minimum.

Are you doing the work yourself or having someone else do it?

They should be able to tell you what all you need to buy. I would ping them and have them verify your list before you pull the trigger.

2nd this. Have you checked if they will install gears that you provide? Most shops want to supply the parts as well. Are you sure that’s the correct gear set for the 186? It’s not the same as the old Dana 30s as far as I know.

They may also be able to get a better deal on those parts and save you a few bucks.

Also curious how you landed at 4.56? What engine/transmission/tire combo are you running?

Research. 8spd automatic with 3.6L engine will be getting 35s with 2” inch Dynatrac lift

Do you wheel it? If so where primarily? Where do you live? I prefer 4.88s with 35s but nothing is flat where I live.
Nah 90% daily driver with a few easy trails nothing crazy. Live in Western Tn , mostly highway driving, no mountains

@CowboysFan

When you program for gearing use JSCAN and not a Tazer JL that many shops will want to do programming with...
Ok can you tell me the reason why? Is one better than the other?
