2024 Rubicon JLU Build

I did replace everything, you're right lol. So I ordered my 2024 in March of 2023 and at the time the XR was going to fit my needs. Then while waiting from march to september the parts started to roll in and what can I say, at least its not on 40's with D60s under it? lol

I was also hoping the 4.56 gears were going to work with the 37's and then I could justify it a little...but no. Especially no because I would like to be able to tow. I believe the XR has bigger brakes (i honestly can't recall) but aside from that there was no need to get the XR. BUT when I ordered my XR it was a $4k package and I got $3200 for the XR wheels and tires so I lost $800 and I do still have some parts I may be able to nickel and dime some of that 800 out of who knows.

You weren't happy with the 4.56? I am running 4.10 with 37" and it isn't terrible The 4xe has a lot of torque, so that helps. Saying that, however, I am still planning on re-gearing next year. I am going back and forth between 4.56 and 4.88. I also have no need for towing.

no, not for me, not with the 3.6. The slightest incline at highway speed and its down shifting, then down shifting again...pretty much was making the 7th and 8th gears useless. Now I can cruise at 75 in 8th gear and it will still pull on an incline to maintain at worst downshift to 7th. Keep in mind the amount of weight I've added as well. Highway was largely the only problem

That makes total sense. Currently, I see 7th gear pretty regularly on the freeway and I will see 8th a reasonable amount if I am cruising over 70mph. I am sure it could be better though.

So after 13 years I finally got back out to Moab. It was a huge success, put down 4,819 miles round trip. We were able to hit Top of the World, Hell's Revenge and Onion Creek. Top of the World and Hell's Revenge were just 2 of my favorites from before, TotW has gotten really washed out over the years and was way more challenging and fun. Onion Creek was a nice break day, the girls loved it, it is a beautiful trail/road.

We set up to rent someones Antishanty camper for the last couple days in Colorado. That was also a lot of fun, the JL is not a towing machine which I knew but she did ok enough.

So after 13 years I finally got back out to Moab. It was a huge success, put down 4,819 miles round trip. We were able to hit Top of the World, Hell's Revenge and Onion Creek. Top of the World and Hell's Revenge were just 2 of my favorites from before, TotW has gotten really washed out over the years and was way more challenging and fun. Onion Creek was a nice break day, the girls loved it, it is a beautiful trail/road.

Hey man! Love the build! I was looking I to the game changer lift as I've previously done just the regular Mopar lift but want to be more capable this time around, what driveshaft did you go with and how do you feel about the lift overall

Also did you go long or mid arm? And why

Nothing too new mod wise, but we had a mild WV trip to New River Gorge, hit some dirt roads and checked out Thurmond and the Sandstone Falls, very nice place to visit. We'll be in Florida in December, looking forward to finding some trails down there

Took my daughter camping over the Labor day weekend at Uwharrie. Got my first bits of body damage up the front side of Daniel, walked right up. The plan was always to run the stock fenders til I ripped em off...so here we go, Nemesis fenders and fender liners incoming

After the latest trail damage, I pulled the trigger on some Nemesis Crawler fenders and fender liners, turned out great. I could go with NOT seeing another nutsert for quite some time lol

I came close to also ripping off my taillight so I have something in the works to tighten that up as well
