Could just be a shortage on parts too. Who knows.
I'd understand it more if that was the case, but then they should be restricting them on new orders before screwing the people who already ordered them. They are only doing the latter, so it's not a parts shortage.

Mine is still in transit, but no hitch or aux switches on the build sheets so I'm certain that I'm not getting them. Haven't yet got confirmation from the dealer on the plan, but I won't be taking possession of a Jeep without them, so there's that.

My window sticker also shows the 12950 cost for the 24Y package. My Priced Order Confirmation shows 13000, because as far as I can tell, this new option didn't exist when I ordered the Jeep (I ordered on 12/14/23). If so, then there was literally no way for me to have ordered this outside of the package that should have included it. My dealership still has not been informed by Jeep of the change.

Jeep's fuckery isn't okay, but I went through the options for the Rubicon 4xe and Rubicon X 4xe over the weekend and highlighted the options that are missing. I understand this to be the same for the pure ICE Rubicon/ Rubicon X as well. See attachment:

Yep, that's correct - standard then, still standard now - until they secretly aren't. From what I can tell the Jeep reps/Stellantis have no interest in making it right...it's all on the consumer and the dealer.

I was also reading about abrupt layoffs that occurred across several Jeep plants on 3/5. They cut shifts as a result and workers were so angry they started calling in sick. So that helps explain the inconsistent and long production times as well. Stellantis isn't making a lot of friends right now between the staff cuts, price increases, ordering restrictions, and now missing features.

Yup! Like I said, always some fuckery going on with Stellantis.

What info do you have that this is accurate?
Well there's this thread, but the starter of all this conversation: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/2024-rubicon-x-tow-pkg-and-aux-switches.124748/ where you'll see some summaries of the response from Jeep Cares. The only resolution I've seen from everyone posting is that the dealer took care of it, or didn't, but Jeep (Stellantis) could not have cared less. I mean Jeep wouldn't have made the decision to handle these orders the way they are handling them if they cared at all. It would have been easy to, you know, roll out the changes to their website and build tools and inform the dealers of the change like they do with every other change. There's no logic to it otherwise.

So I posted in this this thread above. The question was in regards to Jeep reps/ Stellantis making it right. At least with my dealer, the rep is working with them. When will it be done, that is up in the air.

Hello,

Just giving you an update, the Jeep Brand will allow dealers to install the parts. The part number will be 82215190AG, however they have not approved it yet. Once Jeep approves this, we can proceed from there. Unfortunately however, I do not know how long it will take for approval or how long to install

Sorry, I didn't see your earlier post (It's a long thread). Well that is some good news, and of course, I hope you are right. That part number is just for the switches though I think. The current part number for the switches is one revision lower: 82215190af

It would be nice if that revision included the interior leads. Any word on the hitch? The hitch should be pretty easy to install given the wiring harness is in place, but the Mopar hitch is expensive.

Anyone else who has recently received a 4 door Rubicon X with 35" tires; did it come beadlock capable wheels as well? When I was looking at the site previously, back at the end of 2023, the "17" x 8" machined wheels w/ black pockets" that are required/selected with the automatic/35" tires/4.56 gears were noted as being beadlock capable. Now it does not make mention of that.

Also, the Rubicon X lists the Rock-protection sill rails; which look like those are black rock sliders, correct?

Wondering if they also changed which wheels are shipping like they did with cutting the aux switches and receiver hitch?

Sucks ?

Any luck with the dealer resolution or did you just get your deposit back and walk away? Also did you happen to get pictures of the rest of it to see if it had the other things I mentioned in my previous reply?

Wondering if there is anything else they "un-standardized"....

I guess we’re going to find out tomorrow if they will rectify the situation. I was outside mowing the lawn when the email came through.

In an ideal world, I’d like the selling dealer to coordinate with my service dealer in Tempe. I ordered it from Peterson in Idaho.

I don’t think anything else is missing based on the fine tooth comb I took to the build sheet.

Just picked up my X a few days ago and it came with the rims I was expecting and KO2's. I opted for the step assist rails and they were as expected also. Everything on my ten page build sheet was as expected.
