Strange, as of tonight on Jeeps website, I cannot build a white, 4 door, Rubicon X, 8 speed 850E on 35's with 4.56 gearing (my order for pricing comparison). I can build a 6 speed manual with 4.`10s and even a 6 speed with 4.88's, but not the 4.56 with 850e. I tried on two devices. Anyone else experiencing this? It's probably just the crack...

yeah, i trtied the to replciate the build i have on order and could not add the 35's or anything that went along with that package..

Also stuck with the manual and 3.6 options, can't change those either.

but the damn 1/2 doors still taunt me on that site that the dealer could not order.

I can’t reorder because my lease is coming due and this would be my third order since I decided not to go with the High Altitude. I’m definitely prepared to walk away and purchase another brand if there’s no remedy. I checked for ADH and it’s definitely not there. I also emailed my salesperson advising this isn’t acceptable.
Well you can always add the hitch and switches after the fact. Hitch is easy. Switches are a bit of effort but if they're willing to do it at the dealer or give you a discount and have it done elsewhere it would work (Total Auto Pros in Phoenix is great). PITA but you'd have what you want. Which dealer are you working with? I'd press them to work with their rep and have them come up with a solution to what is obviously a Jeep problem they've created for a lot of customers

As others have pointed out, the receiver hitch is easy and it seems that the 4/7 pin harness hasn’t been an issue at all. And while there is a MOPAR aux switch set, you are still shorted the two additional wires on the interior that allow for an always powered and ignition additions that aren’t connected to one of the 4 switches. I use a Valentine one (yes I know I am driving a Jeep, but call it extra security) and it would be nice to have it attached to one of these wires instead of having to tap into my windshield wipers or something like that. The MOPAR is an option, but it isn’t identical to factory and that will be important to some. I am hoping that between my early order date and delayed build date, along with the fact that I have repeated to my dealer that these items were important when I ordered and important today, and that they have communicated that up their chain that it all works out.

As I told the dealer, I hope it works out and I show up with my checklist and drive off with the vehicle I ordered. But given they are 6+ hours from home, I have instructed that before I drive down there to do my check that I will want to do a virtual inspection before making the trip and then an onsite inspection if the virtual checks out. They have been responsive and know that if it isn’t what I ordered I will request my deposit back and start over. Should that happen, I will wait on a 2025 since I expect they will be announced before my build hits the line.

Ditto. I'm still very early in the process and my dealer is checking with their rep to see if they can confirm this and ensure it is added before going to production. They said if need they can re-order it no problem if they aren't able to get it modified which if that ends up being the route they need to take I let them know I'll plan on just waiting on them being able to put in an order for a 2025.

I'm planning on using the always powered pre-wired lead for a Blackvue DR970X Box Plus parking monitoring enabled dash cam. I don't want to have to muckabout having to run things through that large passenger-side grommet through the firewall after seeing the nightmare people have after inadvertently severing a wire (or more) while running something through there.

Like you implied, if it was just the hitch I wouldn't really care as that is super easy to add after market for about that $100; and there is a good chance that at some point in the future I'll replace the bumper anyway with one that includes a hitch as well. But even having the MOPAR aux switch set done as a dealer-add is in the ballpark of $1200-$1400; and you're still missing the two additional pre-wired leads.

Thankfully the community on this forum has been great and is providing a lot of info on surfacing this issue before it is too late. It is unfortunate that some people are finding out the hard way when they are going to pickup their new Rubicon and I'm sure at least some of them either don't have the awesome checklist to notice the issue, or feel pressured to just accept it rather than waiting all over again to put in a new order with what they were expecting.

The way the items are listed on my build sheet:

AUX SWITCHES
7 AND 4 PIN WIRING HARNESS
CLASS II RECEIVER HITCH

I don't have a Tow Prep listed anywhere. Hope this helps.

I don't know if they just randomly added these to my build or if they added them because my dealer was able to add the $95 option before it made it into the production queue. I'll know for sure once they post my window sticker. I just got notified that it was Built so the sticker should be available any time now.
My window sticker posted. Tow Prep package is not listed and there is no $95 add-on package listed. But build sheet still does show aux switches and hitch.

Sounds like you might be good. I’ll find out in approximately 4 days what my status is. I received an update mine should arrive in Idaho on 03/27.

I did some 4xe Rubicon X sleuthing last night and noticed on several in-transit window stickers, including mine the Rubicon X package was $8950, not $9000. Every single one of those window stickers also listed a tow prep package. I also saw some in-stock units where the Rubicon X package did bill out at $9000 and had the switches and the hitch with no mention of a tow prep package.

I hope $50 isn’t Jeep’s way of saying they are screwing us out of standard equipment without actually saying it aloud.

This matches my experience exactly. No Tow Prep on sticker, but build sheet had both the hitch and switches. Thankfully, they were there when I took delivery of the Jeep. Seems like there is no logic as to why some have them and others don't.

Sadly, I think it is. Still keeping fingers crossed for you; and hopefully your dealer can make it at least as right as it can be by dealer installing the OEM switches and hitch. Even though you'd still be short the two extra pre-wired ignition-on and always-on leads.

Mine is going to stay on the lot if it arrives without them and Jeep offers no remedy.

I think that's exactly what they're doing. I noticed the same thing on the V6 Rubicon X package 24Y. If the package lists at $13000 it includes everything. If the package is $12950 you don't get the aux/hitch and need to add the consumer-invisible $95 package.

It makes zero sense to me for $45. Why are they nickel and diming what should be standard features on a $70k vehicle??

Thank you. I don’t have a lot of faith in Jeep right now. The vehicle stickered for $78K and I can already hear them saying, ā€œfor an extra $1500 we can install them.ā€ That dog don’t hunt. They can keep it if there’s no solution.

So I got the update yesterday that mine was built and got a call from the dealership this morning that it was delivered last night. Wasn't expecting it since it wasn't expected to deliver until the 9th according to the website trackers.
