Mopar all the way. Make sure you clean the area with a bit of alcohol AND prep the door sill with adhesion promoter. And install carefully as the adhesion promoter makes the area of adhesion super super sticky. But the step pads will never come off

I bought this after someone on the forum recommended it. The film is clear and thin so it will protect your paint without messing up the seal. If you scuff it up, just replace it.

I bought a roll of THIS STUFF last year and installed it on my Ranger door sills. There was enough left over to add it to the 2020 JLU and on the bumper (where the tire cut out is) for the dogs, and still enough for the 24 JLU.

It looks nice and keeps the scratches away.

I too had the issue with the Quadratec sill protector interfering with the door seal. So I bought the Mopar set and used the Xpel tape to cover the unprotected vertical surface. Done.

These are the Mopar stainless. I like them, look great and work as well as any others….

I have to admit, I love the way the stainless looks, but it's just not covering the areas where *cough cough* husband's and son's feet tend to hit the paint.... I'm thinking of putting down some clear ppf under these and then putting these down - think it would work?

It would work initially. But I think the PPF would get worn/damaged/punctured pretty quickly from people stepping on it. The door sills have a 3M adhesive so as long as you got the PPF down pretty good these will sit on top.

I think the black plastic door sill guards have more coverage. I think they wrap over the actual sill. You might like those better.

Although These do have a little less coverage, but I like they way the stainless looks with the yellow paint

I ordered my ‘23 Willys and the wife’s ‘23 Willys with the plastic mopar ones. Probably not the best ones available but they work pretty good for our needs.

I feel like they do the job, I have the mopar ones on all my jeeps and they hold up good, we have a grand Cherokee with 90k miles with door sill guards from Mopar still going strong after 7-8 years

I went with the RR ones. Installed yesterday. Rear passenger was the first one I installed, don't think I got it as flush as the others, oh well, we will see how much gunk gets in the gap.

I realize my 1k is not close to what some of you spend on your rigs ??, I haven’t even gotten into any real mods.

I installed the mopar ones.... and I gotta say, I'm scared to jesus that my husband and son are just gonna scratch up the paint that's still exposed.... as soon as I find something with more/better coverage and not a huge logo on it, I'll be swapping. Yours look good! as do mine, but just not enough coverage for my "rough on everything, care about nothing, no respect for others things" family....

I have been using XPEL Black Universal Bed Rail Guard (17' x 4") Paint Protection Film Kit on my last 4 vehicles. It looks nice, it's easy to apply & remove, & you can trim it to fit any shape.

Are there any Door Sill Guards that could be reccomended?
We've had our 2024 Jeep Sahara 4xe for just over a week and with nearly 1200 miles we're loving it. I haven't noticed any problems yet but I was thinking I'd really like some better protection on the door sills. The options on Amazon are dizzying so I thought I'd give the forum a try.

I bought these for both 2022 Rubicon XR and 2024 Rubicon X. Have had them for 18 months on the 2022 Rubicon XR. I’m not sure what else could be better. Easy to put on and they look good and do an excellent job. Would and have bought them again, no hesitation.

I bought a used JL and it has the quadratec door sill guards. I've also noticed a gap between the door seal and the sill guards. In fact, if I pressure wash the outside of the Jeep, I get water intrusion through this gap.

My instinct is to use a heat gun and remove them. I want to see if that's what others have done removing sill guards. I know this thread is almost a year old but I do have a question.
