I ended up getting the bullet point rubigrid or whatever it’s called and I absolutely hate it. Sticks up past the cubby, it’s not flush, one side is higher than the other, and the phone bounces around so bad you can’t even see the screen clearly. The search continues.

i just added a proclip to my 24 like it so far, although i don't think i will need it as much now since car play is wireless. only other draw back is i was hitting it with my knucks with it on the drivers side, so ended up moving it to the passenger side.

I’ve noticed with mine I had to turn it in all kinds of funky angles to get it away from the steering wheel also

The steering wheel is a telescope steering wheel. So not only it goes up and down you can move it forward and back. Should resolve your knuckle issue.

bumping this up...any more choices for a phone/mic holder for a 24. was about to order the rubigrid but sounds like not a great design.

Ours are made in the USA since 2010. Definitely some inexpensive chinese import options available, but they aren’t great, and not much less than our USA units for 24+ JL and Gladiators.

I've been trying to find a small MagSafe charger/mount that just plugs right into the cigarette lighter port. Something like this but without the long flexible arm or additional charging ports on it. Would be a perfect way to charge while using wireless CarPlay.

I think way back I was one of your first UFO jk customers....you are on my list for a phone holder as I try to be committed to buying USA made products not just designed in the USA...just not sure I am in love with the look of the e-dock. hard to see a good photo of it

The rubigrid sticks up a smidge which can allow for cables to be run through the gap; if that is intentional or not who knows. But after messing with it on the extra upper dash piece I got to work on modding USB ports into it I also didn't like how wobbly the rubigrid was.

I ended up ordering the 67 designs new rail system for the '24MY JL/JT along with one of their ball mounts and one of their "nano" arms to use with the bullet point magsafe charge since I already have that and haven't found another better alternative for that yet.

My Jeep should be here this week as well as the 67 designs rail so I'll see how it goes.

I had the Bulletpoint Rubigrid drivers side with their magsafe charger mount and their short arm.

Tested it out and like @Camaroboi13 mentioned it was definitely not stable and wobbled way too much. I tried moving the ball mount position to be directly over where the base screws into the dash and it was still too unstable.

Installed the 67 Designs Series 55 rail which is pushed forward and "rests" along the front edge of the upper dash. The rail is AL but the mounting brackets appear to be a carbon polymer and have some flex. Their nano arm is essentially a "bracket-to-bracket" arm. I mounted the Bulletpoint magsafe charger using the 67d nano arm to the rail and it is much more stable than the Rubigrid but still vibrates quite a bit.

I might end up trying out the @Vector Offroad contour E-dock as their rail mount appears to be metal but it is similar in design to the 67D rail and I suspect will have similar smaller vibrations transferred from the dash to the rail (which may just be unavoidable).

I'm also still working on routing USB Type C power to the upper dash piece. So far looks promising but tearing apart the '24 dash isn't as easy as the prior JLs and I'll be out of country for a little over a month so won't be able to really get started on that project until I get back toward the middle of July.

EDIT: Also to note I'm quite disappointed with the Bulletpoint magsafe charger. I would not recommend it and It is definitely very cheaply made. After only the few short drives with my phone on it to test out the mounts as described above the surface of the charger had pressed in and conformed to the induction coil. It is about the only ball mount option on the market unfortunately so I might end up just replacing it with what 67 Designs decided to do; making a mounting bracket to insert Apple's magsafe charger.

Honestly, I don't see the need for a phone holder. Carplays' options are enough for me. I keep my phone in the slot between the cup holders or my pocket.
