Honestly, I don't see the need for a phone holder. Carplays' options are enough for me. I keep my phone in the slot between the cup holders or my pocket.
I’m sure that helps you a ton out on the trails when you’re trying to view cameras on your screen and maps on your phone 👍🏻

If I need to view the cameras, I don't need to see the map. I'm concerned at that point with the next 10 feet, not 10 miles.
Just my opinion.

To each his own. I also start and stop cameras with my phone while on the trails, so there’s that aspect too

That makes sense. I haven’t used the record function yet, keep forgetting to do it until the fun stuff is over and/or my passengers are usually recording the good stuff from the passenger seat or just off the trail.
Hoping to use it next Friday in Tennessee at a nice looking OHV park.

Since both my wife and I wheel separately, I never have passengers in the car so that’s why I like to have options. Plus my wife depends on phone visibility because she’s blind as a bat and apparently a 12.3” screen isn’t enough lol. I put my phone in the cup holder 90% of the time, but I don’t drive a 24 wrangler. It’s for her not me.
Would love to see some Tennessee videos as we are looking to wheel there next year.

When I got my Jeep, I had a couple of cheap holders from my pickup that clamp to the air vent. ( I think I got ‘em from one of the big-box hardware stores….) I figured I’d use them temporarily in the Jeep for my mobile radio head unit and phone until I came up with a better solution. They’ve been surprisingly stable (even bouncing around off-road), and I haven’t found a better solution for my needs yet. Although this thread is giving me some ideas. Overkill has me considering the Vector e-dock for phones, but I’ll probably leave the head unit where it is at. The obvious downside is it partially blocks those vents, but for me the tradeoff is worth it.

I use Waze nav map on CarPlay screen and on the phone rather than the "Next turns" screen I'll select "Reports ahead". Super cool to receive reports for your entire route rather than the popup that alerts you of an issue only a mile ahead or so.

I've had my Vector Offroad E-Dock installed for a bit now and I'm happy with it. I ended up getting an adapter to use a 17MM ball to mount a Samsung wireless charger so that the phone can charge while using wireless Android Auto. It is a little close to the steering wheel, but haven't had any issues with it yet. It does get some vibration every now and then, but hasn't been too bad.

We have 2 options currently for the 2024 dash, as well as an overhead dock if you additional space to mount devices, molle packs etc…. All Made In Utah USA, since 2010.

I haven’t tried their 2024 jeep products, yet. But I have purchased the E-Dock to use with my ram mounts for the JK and my 2019 JL (rip) and their products were high quality and they shipped fast. Had zero complaints.
