2024 Back Up Camera

Anyone else have issues with their back up camera on a 2024 model? It's crystal clear during the day. But at night, it looks snowy and pixely.

It could be related to a lack of visibility offered by the OEM back up lights. I would see if it improves if you add some light (you can keep it simple and use a flashlight). I added a pair of Rigid lights to the back bumper of my wife's JLUR after I installed her lift and 37's.

Mine does the same… My 2018 was great both at night and during the day

My 19 was fine at night too. The 24 is definitely clearer during the day. But almost useless in the dark. I’ll snap a few pictures of the screen and show them to the Service Advisor when I stop in for my first service.

I got a S1 Universal Hitch light kit from Baka Designs. Plug n' play took all of 10 minutes to hook it up. 3,000 lumens lights it all up

Thanks. Were you getting the fuzzy images before installing that light too? Easy to remove the light and wiring connection when you need to use the hitch for something else? Does it just plug into the OEM 4/7 pin wiring harness?

Plug and play right into the wiring harness. I have yet to use the hitch but it is easy to unplug and pull out if I wanted or needed to. That is exactly why I put that light back there. At night or in darkness the backup camera was pretty much useless.... now it is crystal clear and in dynamic color. Best thing I did for my Jeep. Added bonus... sure lets people know you are backing up at night and in the daylight.
