I found a shortcut to the backup camera while on a conference call in the Jeep today. Double tap the mute button under the volume knob.

It’s the little things!

Does this cause the camera to function when you're not moving, in neutral/park, or moving forward?

I believe that only works if you have a Tazer or similar device. I don't think it's native to the Uconnect system.

I experienced this while parked and moving. Yes, Tazer installed.

Double tapping mute to enable the backup camera is a Tazer feature. It also has the option for the turn signal to enable the camera.

You can also just tap the backup camera icon on the 8.4" uConnect screen. It works stopped or moving. But turns back off after around 10 seconds.

The TurnCam feature wreaks havoc with my phone volume and radio presets for some reason. I have it disabled for now.

It's a small import that is my daily driver
This is one of the very few reasons I want a tazer. However, I keep reading about how buggy it is. The wife's Honda Odyssey got it right with the turn cam straight from the factory attached to the passenger mirror. Love the Jeep and hopefully they'll eventually catch up.

Truth be told, I didn't purchase it for TurnCam, although it would be a nice feature if it worked properly. Several here are more educated than I regarding Tazer, but it has a multitude of uses. Combine that with the firmware updates and it can grow right along with you and your Jeep.
