Okay, I visited my dealer showing them that I have been in “C” on the trackers for 134 days. He pulled up the POC showing the VIN and “D” status. It has been in that status for at least 6 weeks. But I have no idea why?
Just a reminder that D status will not show on any tracker. When you are in D status, you show as C in the tracker.

Think of D status as an extension of C status. Your order is confirmed in C, but it does not yet have a VIN. This is your temporary window to make changes to the order. Once a VIN is assigned, you go into D status, and no changes can be made to the order. If you want to make a change at this point, you must place a new order. Once the VIN is issued, your order is still "Confirmed" but that confirmation is now a firm target, and this is where they start checking parts availability for your build.

D1 is when it has actually been sequenced for production, which means that all parts have been confirmed as available and it has a production date scheduled.

Let the wait begin! It sounds like about 6 months based on how I optioned it. Just in time to remove the doors, throw the top back and enjoy the nice weather again. Happy to be part of the club.

JEEP recognizes a submitted order as C status. Once they issue a VIN (typically shortly after, unless you placed the order before start of production); allocation is locked in and JEEP status moves to D.
Their Tracker however, doesn't discern such nuance (skips D) and goes from C to D1; once your build is scheduled.
Yes, I think start of 2023 production was a few weeks post order which was on July27

Thank you for that insight, sir. I’ve been stuck in that C-D space for so long with my VIN that you really wonder if it might be a quota thing with that dealer or one of those odd “lost key fob” thing!

I don't think it would be a lost key fob thing at this point... I personally think it is the dealer allocation drum that I have been beating for the last few weeks...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... They've only got one more bucket of Sarge Green paint left... Just enough to build @Strategist 's 392... They're going to paint your Jeep with the left over Tuscadero, High Velocity, and Reign paint... Good luck!

Oh come on! The irony is we initially picked the FireCracker red and was informed that is no longer an option. Hopefully they water down that last bucket of sarge so it can be prolonged for a few more sprays.

I believe diluted Sarge Green is Private Green.
