Just a reminder that D status will not show on any tracker. When you are in D status, you show as C in the tracker.Okay, I visited my dealer showing them that I have been in “C” on the trackers for 134 days. He pulled up the POC showing the VIN and “D” status. It has been in that status for at least 6 weeks. But I have no idea why?
Think of D status as an extension of C status. Your order is confirmed in C, but it does not yet have a VIN. This is your temporary window to make changes to the order. Once a VIN is assigned, you go into D status, and no changes can be made to the order. If you want to make a change at this point, you must place a new order. Once the VIN is issued, your order is still "Confirmed" but that confirmation is now a firm target, and this is where they start checking parts availability for your build.
D1 is when it has actually been sequenced for production, which means that all parts have been confirmed as available and it has a production date scheduled.
