Okay, I visited my dealer showing them that I have been in “C” on the trackers for 134 days. He pulled up the POC showing the VIN and “D” status. It has been in that status for at least 6 weeks. But I have no idea why?
Dealer said they are just as confused as I am about the length of time that it has taken so far. They can’t determine what is going on.
I told him that I would be out of the country from Dec 20-Jan 3.
I asked him what would happen if it arrives during that time when I’m unavailable. He said it would be kept in their inside storage. I told him that I didn’t want it to be available for test drive or even checking it out as a marketing tool. He said that they never use a sold vehicle for sales or marketing purposes.
So it looks like I won’t be seeing it until 2023…at some unknown date.

JEEP recognizes a submitted order as C status. Once they issue a VIN (typically shortly after, unless you placed the order before start of production); allocation is locked in and JEEP status moves to D.
Their Tracker however, doesn't discern such nuance (skips D) and goes from C to D1; once your build is scheduled.

Here's the timeline if anyone is interested. Shout out to Bill at Marion CDJR in Marion, NC. They've been top notch so far and saved me a boat load a lot closer to home than Tennessee.
