The early Sahara's did not have a fuel door it was not until summer of 2018 that they added it (it was an early supply issue)

As far as I understood, Saharas don't come stock with a fuel filler door... did you buy it and put it on or have they started installing them on the 2021 MY?
My 2018 Sahara has one.

I thought the answer to that question would be obvious as I was clearly the one asking about it, but I will clarify. It's me, I was the one who was curious.

Now on to your second question that I can smell coming, which is why do I care... and the reason for that is, in the land of maple leafs and 6 month long winters, a crevice surrounding the fuel filler cap like the one that is on the side of the jeep will fill with snow and ice and freezing rain. Then, when it comes time to fill er up at the gas station you'd have to endure digging out your frozen gas cap with your hands at -30 celsius.... or you could just take the simple route and buy a gas cap.

Does that satisfy your requirements as to why I would like to buy one if my jeep doesn't come with it, or do I need to further justify my requirements to you?

An insightful reply no doubt. I just want to recap that we are talking about a vehicle with a leaky often cloth roof, solid axles, the aerodynamics of an old boot and an inability to drive in a straight line. Picking out some snow to fuel up did not make my list of wrangler related creature comforts. YMMV. And I live with plenty of snow and ice and no garage. Haven’t thought about the fuel cap once.

And FYI I was not responding to you; just the forum in general.
