  1. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

Nice camping set up man. Love your site. Do you have an idea of the gross weight of your camper?
  2. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

It's amazing to me that the relocation bracket buys you that much height lift on your spare, even with a 37" tire. Take a look at the distance between the bottom of the rear bumper and the bottom of your spare tire. and then take a look at mine. I may have 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch between the two...
  3. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

the winch post of the boat trailer sits not far from the face of the spare tire - you unfortunately can't open the tailgate very much at all.
  4. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

The boat is exactly 3259 pounds. So admittedly, the boat is on order and I have yet to take delivery - so it is sight unseen. I am supposed to be picking it up this Friday. Originally I was told buy a flat draw bar, no rise / no drop and it'd be perfect height. That obviously didn't work and...
  5. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

Thanks for the link sir. Do you think that product would buy me the clearance necessary to get the trailer coupler under the tire to drop onto the ball? The pictures don't seem to show a lot of space after the relocation plate is on... but then again those tires are 35's and beyond, mine are...
  6. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

Hmmm... I think you're onto something. For some reason, I was always picturing taking it off and leaving it off... I guess if worse comes to worse, I could always pull the spare off, hook up to trailer and then pop it back on. Thanks for the lifeline.
  7. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

Looking those up as we speak, thanks. do you have any experience with the hitch extenders? Are they mickey mouse?
  8. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

I really, really hesitate to remove the spare tire. Seems like a kick in the nuts waiting to happen, so that's worst case scenario. Reevaluating the hitch extenders as we speak. Thanks for stopping in with your insight. Much appreciated
  9. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

Through research, I was looking at those earlier, but I also read that these weren't the safest / greatest to use... or was that being overly cautious? I have zero experience with them. Thanks for weighing in.
  10. Spare tire blocks hitch ball coupler

I searched the forums and surprisingly came up with zero results on this, I thought there'd be a ton of threads on a quick solution for this. Maybe I used the wrong search terms, IDK. My spare tire blocks my hitch ball coupler, preventing me from using the correct hitch height necessary to keep...
  11. Towing aids - what's the optimal strategy?

That makes sense. I'll start out with the airbags and see where that gets me and reevaluate if necessary. Thanks!
  12. Towing aids - what's the optimal strategy?

Thanks for your time and help. Do you use the Air Lift 1000 bags? Much appreciated.
  13. Towing aids - what's the optimal strategy?

By the sounds of your post, you wouldn't even consider changing your springs. How many PSI do you have to run in your airbags? Thanks
  14. Towing aids - what's the optimal strategy?

Thanks for weighing in - so it's not possible to get away with just springs or just airbags, you needed to use a combination of them?
  15. Towing aids - what's the optimal strategy?

Been using my 2021 4 door sahara to haul my camping gear for the past few years, and while I get by, it tends to squat the jeep pretty badly in the rear. Fast forward to today, I'm getting an aluminum fishing boat that weighs 3200 pounds, so not far off the tow capacity of the jeep. Long story...
  16. Hellwig rear swaybar for towing

On the topic of towing, anyone have any ideas on why I don't seem to have a transmission temp gauge in my off road pages?
  17. Hellwig rear swaybar for towing

Are you guys using the "stiffer" mount holes, or the outer mount holes on the bar?
  18. Hellwig rear swaybar for towing
