Today it was -4. Remote start wouldn’t work, how ever starting regularly was fine. Gas tank full. Is there maybe a built in fail safe if there is too much current draw with the remote system?

Probably a dying battery. Mine was experiencing the same remote start failing. I didn't care as much since it was the end of last season and into the summer. This year my oem battery failed (already removed aux). Replaced with a Duralast H7 (850 CCA).

I tested out the remote start when it started to cool off. The remote start works again!

I agree with the battery

Mine has been doing the same thing last weekend. I took it on a three hundred mile day, with fifty miles being off.Road, the cheaper hand for eleven hours straight.Now.Mine has remote start, no problem

I'm still on my original batteries. So I know I'm getting to end-of-life on the batteries, but just keep squeaking along.
