2019 JLU Rubicon throwing P2138 code

Have a dealership appointment on Monday, had stopped in prior when the JLU had the dash lights light up and go into “limp mode”. Dealership was unable to find any codes as the check engine light seems to reset or go out after the vehicle sits for a few hours.

This morning the it did the daily dash light up and “limp mode” in front of Auto Zone, so I went in to use their OBDII reader and pulled a P2138 code, times two.

Took photos of the dash and have a print out from the OBDII reader, hope to have the codes still in the system when we go in on Monday. The spouse refuses to drive the vehicle as it happened to her on the highway and scared her while having the kids in the vehicle.

Any others have a 2019 JLU “limp mode” while driving or P2138 code? What was dealership maintenance repair?

Is about to go out the window if she is not comfortable driving the JLU.

Check the plug on your Gas pedal and look for pushed pins, bent pins, and general connectivity.

Kate,

Yes, it was resolved. There were system sensors that were info and the dealership ordered and replaced.

Likely replaced the accelerator pedal assembly.
