Hi all,

I'm looking at an in-stock 2018 Sahara with an MSRP a little over $50k. I'm just wondering what a very good deal would look like at this point.

For what it's worth, I believe the invoice price on this vehicle is ~$47,500 (inc. destination). When I run it through the 2019 spreadsheet from this forum, I see 8% below invoice would be ~$43,500 - which I believe some would be getting on an ordered 2019.

With current incentives, I'm thinking somewhere between $7k-$10k off would be a very attractive deal for a 2018 - factoring in what an ordered 2019 would cost and the fact that it's a 1 year older vehicle.

Sounds like some folks are getting nearly 20% off of MSRP on remaining 2018's. I've tried to get a similar deal in my area (St. Louis), but no such luck. Best that I've seen around me is around 15% off, which is not good enough for me, given that 2018's have already hit a full year of depreciation.

In addition, given the sheer volume of 2018's remaining, I've gotta believe better deals are forthcoming, and not to mention, the 2020 order banks will be opening in the next couple of months, so that will drive down prices even further.

I predict that a lot of dealers will have brand new 2018, 2019, and 2020's on their lot at the same time. A first for Wranglers, I would guess!

Personally, I don’t want a 2018. the only way I would buy a 2018 wrangler now is if in your case, say, a $50k Sahara could be had (out the door, excluding tax) for less than $40k.

If the search function on Jeep.com is correct, there are 566 2018 Jeeps (all models) within 25 miles of central Houston...... 2020s are only a few weeks away from being able to order. Any 2018s on the lot when the 2020s arrive will be deeply discounted.

I don't think the Jeep site is 100% accurate. I used the same functionality when searching for my truck and there were quite a few of them not actually present.

Don't get me wrong, I'm only a few hours away from you (San Antonio) and I'm looking out for the 2018's as well. I may hold off until June going into July because I hope that the 2018's will be even more discounted. Who knows, maybe jeep will hold off on producing the 2020's until the 18's are about depleted.
